Accessibility Guide

Introduction

Welcome to Trewan Hall Campsite. We strive to ensure that all our guests have an enjoyable and comfortable stay, regardless of ability or access needs. This guide provides comprehensive information about our accessibility features to help you plan your visit with confidence.

Before Your Arrival

If you have specific accessibility requirements, we encourage you to contact us in advance at [email protected] so we can discuss your needs and make any necessary arrangements to ensure your comfort during your stay. On the booking form, there is also a special requirements box where comments and questions can be left, these will be picked up on arrival.

Arrival and Check-In

Upon arrival, all guests are personally welcomed and checked in by our staff. During this process, we're happy to discuss any special arrangements you might need and can make adaptations to your pitching location if required. Our staff will:

  • Offer pitches closer to facilities for those with mobility concerns

  • Suggest quieter areas for guests who may benefit from a calmer environment

  • Provide full information about all accessibility features on the site

  • Ensure adequate space for mobility equipment if needed

  • Ensure all staff members are informed about any adaptations being made for your stay

We understand that different guests have different needs, and we always have multiple options available to ensure there will be a choice that works for you.

  • Providing portable ramps that can be borrowed by guests

  • Offering a selection of adaptive equipment that can be reserved in advance

  • Training all staff in disability awareness and accessibility considerations

  • Creating alternative format guides (large print, audio)

  • Implementing a hearing loop system at reception
